At Pathways Behavioral Health Group, we are committed to empowering individuals with lifesaving overdose prevention education. Every client, regardless of a substance use history, receives education on recognizing and responding to overdose risks effectively. By promoting harm reduction strategies and evidence-based interventions, we enhance safety, reduce stigma, and foster a culture of support and awareness.
Our approach aligns with Maryland’s policy agenda, integrating programs and policies based on five key pillars: Prevention, Harm Reduction, Treatment, Recovery, and Public Safety. This comprehensive framework ensures a coordinated and impactful response to substance use, strengthening both individual well-being and community resilience.
Negative perceptions of substance use can prevent individuals from seeking the help they need. Recognizing addiction as a treatable health condition can help reduce stigma and encourage people to seek support. Learn more about breaking the stigma. If you or someone you know needs help, call or text 988.
Disposing of unused or expired prescription opioids promptly can help prevent accidental or intentional misuse. Learn safe and effective ways to remove these medications from your home, including those that may be hidden in cabinets, drawers, or other storage areas.
